Leadership can feel like standing alone on the edge of a cliff.

But what if standing there could feel more like … freedom?
The blue sky you need to create your own vision?
An energizing start for yourself and your organization?

That’s what our work together will do. I help you trust your instincts, lean into your values, and step forward with confidence—onto a more fulfilling, more effective path for you and the people you lead.

I can help you and your team…

Filter out the noise

I create a space where you can tune out those unhelpful external influences and that inner-critical voice that second-guesses every move you make. You’ll find that tuning into what your gut is telling you clearly reveals what your best next step should be.

Redefine success

There’s no reason to fear failure when you set your own measures of success. I help you explore and develop a personal set of metrics that open up new possibilities, including how you can connect with and empower others, embrace growth, and stay energized.

Focus on principles, not formulas

Formulas only work under a set of unchanging circumstances. My goal is to help you develop principles and competencies that can guide you even as your aspirations grow and your challenges become more complex.

 FAQs

  • We typically meet every other week. That means most months we will meet twice, though occasionally we’ll meet three times. Some engagements require more consistent discussion, and some require less. It all depends on what you want to achieve, and how quickly.

  • Each is different, but each begins the same way: A back-and-forth process of discovery. Through discussion and email correspondence, we get clear on the client’s goals, our agreements on how we’ll work together, and our timeline, if there is one. Once we agree on a coaching plan, we will begin our work.

And how that work progresses is up to you — my client. I will help set timelines, hold you accountable to commitments you make, and offer advice if I believe it is important to do so. But you are the one who drives the agenda. Our discussions will be back-and-forth dialogue, often spurred by questions I offer for reflection and consideration, but you will be the person who decides what we discuss.

And yes, I may assign you homework to wrestle with between our coaching sessions.

  • No, I am not certified, though I am currently working toward certification through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I completed more than 100 hours of coaching training through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), and decided not to pursue a fast-track certification process because I was at capacity in my consulting practice. I expect to earn certification in 2025.

And yes, it is important to work with a certified coach or a coach like me working toward certification. As a member of the ICF, I agree to coach in line with a specific set of practices and a code of ethics. Chief among these is confidentiality: I do not speak about my coaching relationships with anyone other than my coaching client.
